CSQ

Using AR technology to send a powerful message

In 2018, non-profit, CSQ, launched an important campaign exposing seven toxic management practises. The campaign was designed to spread awareness to Quebecers about the physical and psychological health risks associated with these harmful workplace customs.

The CSQ had already created seven visually-striking promotional photos for its campaign, designed to inspire reform in its community. At first glance, the eccentric hairstyles in the photos looked a bit like something out of a Tim Burton movie, but at a closer look, you can see that each colourful ‘do represents one of the seven toxic work practises.

From 2D to AR

Using the existing photos as a reference, our team of creatives created 3D models of the seven hairstyles to be used for an augmented reality experience.

The booth, created by La Boite Interactive, would have a screen that worked similarly to an Instagram filter, but instead of perfecting users’ skin or outfitting them in silly dog ears, it would coiff the individual up with one of the seven hairstyles - and metaphorically, one of the seven toxic workplace practises.
